Description: Makayla was killed when a drunk driver hit the car her mother was driving on May 7 2005, after the collision her mother ,who was 8 month pregnant with her, was taken to the hospital to make sure everything was ok and it was discovered she no longer had a heartbeat so labor was induced. She was born May 9th 2005, 5 pounds 4 ounces. a small baby but a full pound heavier than her own mother was when she was born. The autopsy showed she died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head, caused by the collision. But the drunk driver was not charged in her death, and has been arrested twice more for drunk driving since she died, all before his 21st birthday. He got away with murder with a slap on the wrist and a 'don't do that again' which didn't stop him at all, and our family lost out on the love of a beautiful baby girl and we never even got to hold her while she was alive. (Makayla is my niece, my sister is her mother)
