Freddy Browne

Freddy was killed by a drunk driver on 7/2/06
at only 26 years old. He was hit head on
by a man that was driving north in the
southbound lanes on a dark unlit highway.
Freddy never knew he was coming at him
until it was to late. He slammed on his brakes
and they hit. Freddy full size Chevy truck
was flipped on it's side throwing
Freddy to the passenger side of the cab.
He died on impact from traumatic chest injuries.


I was following about a mile behind in my
car and drove upon it right after it happened.
I witnessed my love crumpled up inside his truck.
They wouldn't tell me his condition on
the scene. Instead I was sent to the
hospital with my family where we were
later told by police.

At the time I was pregnant with our first child.
I was only 3 months along so Freddy never
got to experience my pregnancy, never got to
find out if it was a girl or boy, never got to
see her being born, and will not get to see
her grow up. All because a man chose to
have a night of drinking. Everyone say I
should have never carried our baby
girl to term because of the stress I was
under, but by the grace of God and Freddy's
help I not only carried her to term with
healthy pregnancy, I was overdue 3 days
and had to have a c-section because
she wouldn't come out.
